Dbas did you earn your badge of honor?

So quite awhile back Microsoft partnered with Credly’s Acclaim platform to award badges for your certification achievements. I wondered if I would qualify for any award badges since I retired about the same time that the award badges were started.

According to the Microsoft Exam and Certification Badges web page:

  • Badges are digital representations of your achievements, consisting of an image and metadata uniquely linked to you.
  • When someone views your badge, they can learn more about your skills and verify the badge’s authenticity—ensuring only you can take credit for your skills.
  • Now, when you share your digital badge on popular online sites, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, or when you embed it into your résumé, personal website,or email signature, anyone who views your badge will immediately recognize it as issued by Microsoft.

You will need to be signed into your Microsoft account and have your Microsoft Certification ID or MCID number to get your award badges. Here’s a couple of additional web links I used to claim my award badges.

As it turned out, I have two award badges as well other certifications that are still active. While the award badges may not help in your current job, it might help you get your next job.

Make your resume stands out by mentioning your award badges. Right?
